  1. Nicola & Mark's Wedding

Nicola and Mark married on a beautiful Jersey summers day at the lovely St.Brelade's church. St.Brelade is a special place for Nicola as she grew up in the parish. Nicola and her father Nigel were driven to the church in a superb vintage car belonging to a family member.

After the service, guests sipped champagne whilst enjoying views over St.Brelade's bay on the terrace at the L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa. You can clearly see that Nicola, and her new husband, Mark, had such a special day they will never forget.

  2. Carly & Ramsay's Wedding

Carly and Ramsay had an amazing festival themed Summer wedding. The wedding was held in a field belonging to Ramsay's father, Chris, who is a dairy farmer. The Cudlipp family have farmed there for decades! The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and reception, the sun shone all day while guests relaxed and enjoyed listening to local live bands. Carly looked absolutely beautiful in her Maggie Sottero dress whilst Ramsay wore a fantastic Vivienne Westwood waistcoat.

  3. Carly & Ramsay's Testimonial

Having looked at Poppy’s previous work, we knew she was a talented photographer. However, when we sat down to view our wedding photographs – carefully crafted as a slideshow to music – we were blown away by the quality. It truly felt as though we had been transported back to our special day and a flood of memories came rushing back with every breath-taking shot. Poppy captured the precious moments between us, from a hearty giggle during the speeches to a teary look of pure joy as we said our vows.

We were astounded at how beautifully Poppy had captured the atmosphere of the wedding, and she was so discreet that our guests had no idea they were being photographed. Poppy really does have an eye for the best light and backdrop to make the most impressive pictures. Knowing that we didn’t want to take too long for posed shots, Poppy ensured that the family snaps were done efficiently so we could spend more time with our guests.

Her relaxed yet assertive approach resulted in a stunning collection of pictures that are unique to us and our wedding day. Your wedding photographs are something to treasure for years to come so you need to have the best person behind that camera. And Poppy is, in our opinion, the best.

  4. Lucy & David's Wedding

It has been a busy start to the wedding season, and I wanted to share with you some photos from Lucy and David's fantastic wedding day. They married at St.Brelades Bay church and then were driven in a Willys Whippet to their reception venue, Mont Orgueil. The sun was most definitely shining while guests enjoyed the amazing views looking out to France. After hearing a brilliantly funny speech from David's best man, the night finished with lots of dancing and a firework display.

  5. Charlotte & Simon's Wedding

Simon and Charlotte chose to have a winter wedding at St.Saviour's parish church and the reception venue of choice was Victoria College, a Jersey Heritage site. Once married, Simon drove Charlotte to one of their favourite locations in Gorey for a few photos. I thought Charlotte's dress was stunning and suited the day perfectly, along with the natural gypsophelia chosen for the wedding flowers. I also thought the men's choice of attire of rich dark blue velvet jackets, matched the refined reception venue to perfection. It was a fantastic day and we really couldn't have asked for better weather for a December wedding.

Kirstie and Ian chose to get married at St.Clement's parish church, the parish in which Kirtstie's parents live. St.Brelades Bay Hotel was the chosen venue for their wedding reception. Kirtstie's makeup was beautifully done by Kiera from Urban Rose.

  7. Charlene & Aaron's Wedding

Charlene and Aaron married in a private garden overlooking St.Ouen's bay, it was an intimate and relaxed ceremony followed by a reception in a beautifully decorated marquee. Guests enjoyed drinks in the garden with a fantastic view of the bay and some of the Channel Islands. A special moment was when Charlene and her father, watched the sun go down together.

Aaron's best man, Brett, wrote a brilliant song and sung it as his speech while their friend, Chris, played the guitar to accompany the song. The cake was beautifully made by Brett also, which in my opinion, most definitely is excelling in his best man duties.

It's been a wonderful journey with Charlene and Aaron, from meeting them over a year ago, to then photographing their engagement, and then their wedd

  8. Natalie & Tony's Testimonial

"We weren't going to have a photographer as really couldn't afford it, but we decided quite last minute that in fact it was something we should fork out for. Thank goodness we did, and thank goodness we found Poppy!

We've watched the slideshow countless times and it brings back all the memories. We're spoiled for choice on what image to use on our thank you cards, and what prints to have, and considering how much I normally hate photos of myself, this is quite a feat! Poppy has captured special little moments from most of the wedding party, not just the bride and groom.

I think the best compliment I can give is from my good friend who lives in Australia who could not make it to the wedding, she watched the slideshow and said "Photos are amazing. Such a beautiful wedding. Everything looked perfect, I feel like I was there. You really get a feel for the day from the pictures."

  9. Ellen & Alex's Testimonial

"From the very first contact with Poppy, to then meeting with her, to having her there on our day and finally to seeing the incredible images she captured, we couldn't be more happy with the service she provided.

Not only do we feel that she is beyond excellent, but a number of our guests have also commented on her, both personally and professionally. She made us feel completely comfortable, which really comes across in the images and her eye for special moments has resulted in some truly memorable pictures.

Thank you so much Poppy, if only we could get married again!"

  10. Ruth & Martyn's Wedding

Ruth and Martyn were married on their island, Guernsey at St Andrew's Church, then on to the Bella Luce Hotel for a marquee reception. The marquee was decorated beautifully with bunting covering the roof and natural floral arrangements, and an informal strawberry and cream sponge wedding cake, was very country esc.

Ruth got ready at her parents house and as soon as she put on her dress, walked down the stairs with her father waiting at the bottom. She burst into tears as soon as she saw him and gave him a hug. This will always be a special photo for Ruth.

Martyn's best man made a great point during his speech that I couldn't have agreed with more. He said that everyone who met Martyn could always say a positive thing about him. Seeing the couple with their family and friends, anyone could see that they really were a down to earth couple.

  11. Stacy & Dia's Wedding

Stacy and Dia chose to have their ceremony at Le Catel Fort in Greve de Lecq, a Jersey Heritage property overlooking the beach with France in the distance. They then were driven in a VW camper van to their reception which was in Stacy’s Uncle's garden in Trinity.

Their guests had so much to enjoy such as LuLu's Ice Cream in the garden, a Jersey Party Booth and the band, Little Black Dress, to end the fantastic day on. Stacy and Dia had many guests come from overseas and because of this, they wanted a real Jersey essence to the day with a really relaxed and special feel.

"We could not be happier with the amazing photos from our wedding day. Poppy is not only a fantastic photographer but incredibly professional. She listened to what we wanted from a photographer and the style of photos we wanted.

In the nicest possible way we barely noticed she was there on the day, and she captured the real feeling of our wedding. We genuinely cannot recommend her highly enough, you will not be disappointed!"

  14. India & Alistair's Wedding

India and Alistair's wedding took place in August on a lovely summer's day. India, her bridesmaids and her family got ready at their stunning family home in St Peter's.

India and her father were picked up in a 1928 Willys Whippet open tourer which took them to the ceremony at St Peter's parish church. La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey was the chosen reception venue, a wonderful place full of photo opportunities. The guests enjoyed Champagne on the lawn, followed by an excellent meal by Jersey Potteries.

One of my favourite shots is of India's father looking at his daughter during the speeches, his pride is clear. This will be a precious photo for India that captures a special moment between them.

Deborah, India's mother helped plan the day to perfection, down to every detail, and because of this, the occasion ran so smoothly and was such a success.

I almost felt like part of the family by the end of the day, and everyone made me feel so welcome. I was still buzzing from it in the weeks after the wedding.

  15. James & Lindsey's Testimonial

"We were astonished not only by the beauty of the wedding photos we received from Poppy but also by her unparalleled ability to capture the emotion of the day, the way she brought the pictures to life was truly unique.

We barely noticed Poppy throughout the entire wedding; she was never positioning people or adjusting poses. She faded into the background and from there managed to capture the most exquisite shots.

We love every single photo from our wedding day and would highly recommend her services to anyone. Thank you Poppy!"

  16. Ellen & Alex's Wedding

Ellen chose to get ready at her parents house in Grouville and was then driven to the castle in her father's Jaguar. Ellen's hair and make up was done by the fantastic Lauren Layzell The outdoor ceremony at Mont Orgueil castle took place above the chapel, overlooking Gorey bay, with France in the distance. Ellen and Alex's reception was at one of my favourite venues in Jersey, St.Ouen's Manor.

With peacocks roaming free on the manor's grounds and a marquee in the walled garden full of lavender and flowers, it really is a picturesque venue. The marquee was decorated by Mark Howe Flowers using whimsical English summer flowers, a forest of silver birch and dozens of candles and it looked beautiful. Ellen and Alex were such a fun and relaxed couple which you can clearly see in the photos, it really was an amazing day.

Looking at the photographs over and over again is addictive, they just bring the happiest of memories and laughter flooding back. 18. Joanna & Richard's Wedding

Both Joanna and Richard are serving British Army Officers with close ties to Jersey. Richard is a Captain in the Royal Logistic Corps and Joanna is a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. They were married at the Sacred Heart Church on an exceptionally sunny and warm March morning. This was the same church where Joanna's parents were married.

The flowers were beautifully arranged by the Jersey Flower Club and were selected because of their natural and informal design involving colours which complemented the military uniforms in the Honour Guard. The reception was held in the grounds of the Durrel Wildlife Conservation Trust as they have a love of animals and many family ties to the park. The Camellia walk featured heavily in the photos because it was created by Joanna's grandmother in 1995.

  20. Roxanne & Andrew's Wedding

Roxanne and Andrew chose to get married at St Ouen's parish church. Roxanne wore a stunning off the shoulder Sassi Holford dress, and Andrew was beaming when he saw her walk down the aisle!

They then went on to the St Ouen's Manor for the reception. Andrew's side of the family are very keen on their Jaguars, so it was only fitting that Andrew would drive his new wife there in one of the family cars.

The manor was such an idyllic venue with the guests enjoying drinks in the walled garden, as the peacocks wandered freely. Roxanne and Andrew enjoyed some precious time together as I took them for a walk around the grounds to get some natural shots in the stunning light.

  21. Philippa & Justin's Wedding

Philippa and Justin were married at Justin's family's church, St Paul's. It was in fact the church I used to go to as a young girl. Their faith was clearly very important to both of them. Being a very relaxed couple, they chose to have their reception at the Les Creux Scout Hall in St Ouen.

There was plenty of entertainment for the guests, from clay pigeon shooting to a fire dancer! Philippa's twin sister Frances stood up to say a few words during the speeches. She talked about how people often asked what it was like to be a twin. She described it as like having a best friend that would always be there for you, and at that moment began to choke up. She didn't need to say more than that, it summed up their relationship beautifully.

  22. Carley & Jonny's Wedding

Carley got ready with all her bridesmaids at the Radisson Hotel overlooking Elizabeth Castle. Carley and her father were then driven to St Matthew's church in a 1979 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 11. Carley and Jonny chose to have their son Sonny christened as part of the service which was very special.

For some natural shots of the newly married couple, we went to one of my favourite spots for photos, Ouaisne. I loved how relaxed their wedding was, all the guests gathering on the beach to throw confetti over Carley and Jonny, just a few steps walk to their beach side reception venue, the Beach House.

There was a special moment during the speeches where Jonny mentioned their son Sonny, both Carley and Jonny both began to get emotional and it was clear the love they had for their son.

The photos are beautiful and really natural, a lot of the time we didn’t notice you were taking photos, which means that you have some fantastic natural ones of us as well as the guests.

You have captured the day perfectly, they are something to treasure forever, and we won’t be able to stop looking at them. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough!"

  24. Ruth & Martyn's Testimonial

“Poppy’s expertise, professionalism and enthusiasm are excellent and our photos could not have been better.   For us, the most impressive element is Poppy’s understanding of what makes a great wedding photo. She seamlessly and discreetly photographed all of the key members of the wedding party and has a great talent for capturing fantastic moments.

We were keen not to spend a lot of time posing for photos and Poppy made sure that all the group shots were completed within ten minutes which left more time for us to enjoy the celebrations.  The final result is a set of photos that are relaxed, fun and really capture the day as we remember it.”
